History

1996 to 11-8-2022: John David Wickham, Attorney at Law, San Juan County, WA (2003-2022) and Olympia, WA (1996-2003). Appearances in Superior Court in 8 counties in Washington. Mentor law students and new solo attorneys. Presenter of CLEs for attorneys and CASA trainings. Washington State Bar Family Law Section Chair & Committee member, Domestic Relations Attorneys of Washington Board member.

 

2003-2022: Guardian ad Litem, San Juan County, WA (2003-2022) and Thurston County (1999-2003). Assist court by investigating and representing the best interests of minors, incapacitated or allegedly incapacitated adults in cases pursuant to Titles 4, 11, 13, 26, as well as SPR 98.16W.  Founding member of the Thurston County Family Treatment (Drug) Court. Member Washington State Supreme Court Guardian ad Litem Workgroup.

2011 - 2019 Superior Court Commissioner for San Juan County (occasional)

2008 - 2019 Judge, pro-tem, San Juan County District Court (occasional).

 

2003 - 2004 - Superior Court Commissioner (Substitute) for Thurston County Family Court and also for the Juvenile Court.  Presided over judicial matters including motions dockets, evidentiary hearings, protective orders, Family Treatment (Drug) Court, Juvenile Offender, and ex-parte matters.

 

2004 - 2016 - Attorney-Mediator.  Mediation for family-law cases, including child custody, residential schedules, child and spousal support, distribution of property, debt, attorney fees.
